Privacy Policy for Handstand Balance
Last updated: August 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Handstand Balance (the "App") handles information when you use the iOS application. Handstand Balance is provided by Valerii Nikolaev ("we," "us," "our," or the "developer").
The App is designed to perform its handstand detection, pose analysis, video review, and progress storage on your device. The current version does not require an account and does not send your camera footage, imported videos, detected pose data, or workout history to a developer-operated server.
Information the App Processes
The App may process the following information on your device:
- live camera frames used to detect body pose, evaluate handstand form, and measure hold time;
- body-pose points and related analysis results derived from camera frames or a video you select;
- videos you choose to import from Photos for review;
- workout recordings you create in the App, including optional timer, pose-overlay, watermark, and app-generated coaching audio;
- your handstand results and App choices;
How the App Uses This Information
The App uses this information to:
- detect handstand attempts and provide visual or spoken form cues;
- start and stop the automatic hold timer;
- analyze a video you select and replay the best detected hold interval;
- save and display your attempt history and progress on your device;
- record, process, save, export, or share a workout video when you choose those actions;
- remember your App settings;
- unlock, restore, and manage Handstand Balance Pro features.
Camera and Pose Analysis
The App requests camera access to show the live camera view, detect your pose, measure handstand holds, provide form cues, and create a recording when you start recording. Camera frames and derived pose information are processed on your device using Apple system frameworks.
The App does not use face recognition to identify you and does not create a developer-controlled biometric identity profile from the detected body-pose points.
Photos, Imported Videos, and Recordings
If you choose a video for Review, the App accesses that selected video, and may request broader Photos access to load it directly and show transfer progress. If the selected item is stored in iCloud Photos, Apple may download it to your device. The App analyzes the video locally and does not upload it to a developer-operated server.
If you record a session, the App may request permission to save the finished recording to Photos. A saved recording remains in your photo library until you delete it. The App may also keep a temporary local copy long enough to finish processing or let you share the result.
Microphone and Coaching Audio
The current version does not request microphone access and does not record your voice or ambient room sound. If enabled, spoken coaching and counting are generated by Apple's on-device speech services. App-generated coaching audio may be included in an exported workout recording.
Local Storage and Retention
- Your progress and App choices remain on your device until you delete or reset them, or remove the App and its data.
- Imported-video working copies, generated speech files, and recording-processing files are temporary and are removed when they are replaced, no longer needed, or cleaned up by the App or operating system.
- Recordings saved to Photos and files you export or share are controlled by you and by the destination service you select.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions. The App relies on information supplied by Apple to provide paid features and restore eligible purchases.
We do not receive your full payment-card number, Apple Account password, or complete payment credentials. Apple's handling of purchase and account information is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
Subscription and Purchase Events
Apple sends the developer an App Store Server Notification when there is activity on a purchase or subscription for the App — for example a trial, a renewal, a cancellation, a billing problem, an expiry, or a refund. This is a server-to-server message from Apple; the App itself does not transmit this information from your device.
These notifications describe the transaction, not your identity. They contain details such as the product identifier, the price and currency, the App Store storefront country, the app build number, relevant dates, how long a subscription has been active, whether the purchase is Family Shared, and a pseudonymous Apple transaction identifier. They do not contain your name, email address, Apple Account, payment card details, device model, or location.
The developer receives these notifications on a serverless endpoint hosted by Cloudflare, which processes them in transit without storing them, and forwards a summary to a private Telegram chat with a bot that only the developer can read. The Apple transaction identifier is truncated before it is forwarded, so the message keeps only enough of it to connect events belonging to the same subscription. This information is used solely for the developer's own purposes, primarily analytics: how many subscriptions start, renew, or end, and the overall health of the App's paid features. It is never used for advertising, never combined with data from other sources, never sold, and never shared with data brokers.
Cloudflare and Telegram act as service providers for this data and may process it outside your country of residence. We share it with them only to the extent described above, and we require that they provide the same or equal protection of user data as set out in this Privacy Policy. We do not authorize them to use it for their own purposes.
These messages are not linked to an account, an email address, or any identifier you could give us. We deliberately do not collect anything that would let us connect them to you — which also means we are not able to locate your records if you ask us to. We will not delete records on the basis of an unverified description, because responding to such a request would itself confirm to whoever asked that a matching purchase exists. Where a controller cannot identify a data subject, data protection law does not require it to collect additional information for the sole purpose of enabling such requests.
We keep these messages only for as long as they are useful for monitoring the App's paid features. Cancelling your subscription in your Apple Account settings stops any further events from being generated.
Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal information and the current version does not include third-party advertising, third-party analytics, or developer-operated cloud-sync services. When you use the iOS share sheet, save to Photos, restore a purchase, or obtain an iCloud-stored video, Apple or a sharing destination you select may process information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Information leaves the App only when required for an Apple platform feature you request or when you intentionally export or share it. We do not control how a recipient or third-party sharing service handles information you choose to send.
Information the Current App Does Not Request
Based on the current implementation, the App does not request or use:
- account registration or login credentials;
- microphone or ambient-audio recording;
- precise or approximate location;
- contacts or address-book data;
- HealthKit data;
- advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking;
- third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs integrated into the App.
Your Choices and Data Deletion
- You can deny or revoke Camera and Photos permissions in iOS Settings, although related features will not work.
- You can delete individual attempt records or clear all progress from within the App.
- You can delete saved workout recordings from Photos and exported files from their destination.
- You can remove the App's local data by deleting the App and its data from your device.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.
Because the developer does not receive your locally processed videos or workout history, we do not have a server copy of that information to access or delete. You may contact us with privacy questions.
Communications
If you contact us by email, we receive the email address, message, and any information you choose to include. We use that information to respond to your request, maintain support records, protect our rights, and comply with law. Your email provider and ours process those communications under their own policies.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed specifically to children below the age at which parental consent is required by applicable law. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor's use of the App and all physical activity. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, please contact us.
Security
The App limits its handling of workout and video information primarily to your device and uses iOS storage and permission controls. No method of electronic storage or device operation is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
